‘Gloria’ is the sobriquet for the hens on our family-owned free-range egg farm, Majura Valley Free Range Eggs. The nickname ‘Gloria’ has also been adapted for the two found object sculptures which act as a place marker for our property. The roosting hens are parched on the gateway and constructed of found objects and materials collected from the farm. The public artwork adds layers of meaning to the entrance of the farm but also enrich the experience of customers who purchase eggs from the farm gate honesty system.
